    GPHA joins nation to mourn victims of August 6 Military Helicopter Crash

    The Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) has expressed profound sorrow over the tragic lack of eight lives, together with two Ministers of State, within the navy helicopter crash that occurred on August 6, 2025.

    In a press release emanating from the Advertising and Company Affairs division, the Authority conveyed its heartfelt condolences to the Presidency, the bereaved households, the affected Ministries and the Ghana Armed Forces, describing the incident as a nationwide tragedy.

    “The Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority joins your entire nation in mourning the premature lack of these distinguished people who served the nation with dedication and honour,” the assertion learn.

    As a mark of respect and according to the directive from the President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, that every one nationwide flag be flown at half-mast throughout the nation, the Port Authority has directed that every one ports observe this directive.

    The Authority additional reaffirmed its solidarity with all affected establishments and known as for nationwide unity because the nation involves phrases with the painful loss.

    “Could their souls relaxation in excellent peace. And will their households be comforted — immediately and at all times,” the assertion concluded.
