    GRA promises to refund all E-Levy deductions after April, 2025

    The Commissioner Common of the Ghana Income Authority, Anthony Kwasi Sarpong, has assured to refund all Digital Switch Levy deductions after April 2, 2025. 

    This follows directive for all charging entities to halt the deductions, after the Ghana Income Authority Secured Gazette Discover for repealing the tax on Wednesday April 2, 2025.

    Mr. Sarpong was talking to Journalists at an ongoing retreat for the highest administration of GRA in Akosombo.

    The peace of mind from the Commissioner-Common is in keeping with the sooner directive to the charging entities to regulate their techniques to droop expenses on all transactions and different taxes that had been assented to by President Mahama.

    “Certainly, we had a prolonged dialog with the charging entities and we ready programme of actions to allow them implement the legislation as quickly because it comes into impact. We do know that this can be a technological subject so ideally, we’ve got agreed that early morning of third April [202] all charging techniques must be taken off and we imagine that their engaged on it”.

    He indicated that there was an agreed guideline for all events to comply with in eliminating the tax

    He pledged his dedication to get all charging entities to refund any levy charged after 2nd April, 2025.

    The 2 days retreat by the administration of the GRA types a part of initiatives to mirror and methods on the right way to meet the income goal for the yr.

    Talking on behalf of the Finance Minister, Director of Income Coverage on the Ministry of Finance, Daniel Nuer assured the GRA of presidency help in mobilising extra income for the state.

    The retreat is underneath the theme “reworking for affect and development”.
