    Heartbreaking moment Sam George breaks down in tears during wreath-laying ceremony (video)

    Ghana continues to mourn the eight (8) fallen heroes who tragically misplaced their lives within the helicopter crash at Adansi Akrofuom within the Ashanti Area on Wednesday, sixth July.

    Right this moment marks the second day of nationwide mourning, with a whole bunch of Ghanaians, together with main political figures, extending their condolences to the bereaved households.

    Senior authorities officers, political leaders, army personnel, and members of the general public gathered on the ceremonial gardens of the Jubilee Home for a solemn laying of wreaths and a candlelight ceremony in honour of the deceased.

    In a single significantly heart-wrenching second, cameras captured Sam George, Minister for Communications and Digitalisation, overwhelmed with emotion and in uncontrollable tears as he mourned the lack of his shut colleagues: Dr Edward Omane Boamah, Dr Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, and the six (6) different victims of the tragic incident.

    The video has since gone viral, including to the sombre nationwide temper because the nation continues to honour the reminiscence of the fallen.

    The eight (8) victims included 5 (5) authorities officers and three (3) crew members. The federal government officers have been former Defence Minister Dr Edward Omane Boamah; former Setting Minister Dr Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed; Alhaji Muniru Mohammed; Performing Deputy Nationwide Safety Coordinator Dr Samuel Sarpong; and Samuel Aboagye, a former parliamentary candidate and Vice Chairman of the Nationwide Democratic Congress (NDC).

    The three (3) crew members who additionally misplaced their lives have been Squadron Chief Peter Baafemi Anala, Flying Officer Manaen Twum Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah.

    A sequence of funeral preparations have been scheduled in honour of the deceased. On Saturday, ninth August at 5:00 p.m., an Night of Reflection and Memorial shall be held on the forecourt of the State Home to pay tribute to the departed.

    Books of condolence shall be opened concurrently at a number of key places, together with the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Setting, Science and Expertise, Ministry of Overseas Affairs, Ghana Armed Forces Headquarters, NDC Headquarters, and the NADMO Head Workplace. This can happen from Sunday, tenth August to Thursday, 14th August 2025.

    An inter-denominational state funeral shall be held on Friday, fifteenth August on the Black Star Sq. to honour the eight (8) fallen heroes.
