    Interior Minister assures Yagbonwura of gov’t’s commitment to peace in Sawla-Bole

    The Minister for the Inside, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, has assured the Overlord of Gonja, Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale I, that authorities will take each step needed to revive peace within the Sawla-Bole space, which has in latest weeks been gripped by violent clashes.

    Talking to the media after a closed-door engagement on the Jakpa Palace in Damongo, the minister expressed authorities’s concern in regards to the lack of lives and property, whereas emphasising the significance of collaboration amongst conventional leaders, neighborhood stakeholders, and safety businesses.

    “We now have taken notice of all of the issues and now we have additionally assured him that we’ll do all the things humanly attainable to make sure that peace will probably be restored.     The assembly follows renewed tensions in Sawla-Bole, which have displaced scores of residents and threatened stability within the Savannah Area. The minister reaffirmed that restoring calm and regulation and order stays a prime precedence.
