    Jamaica mourns Ghana’s loss in helicopter crash

    The Prime Minister of Jamaica, Andrew Holness, has expressed deep disappointment over the demise of two Ghanaian ministers and different officers in a navy helicopter crash on August 6, 2025.

    In a condolence message to President John Dramani Mahama, Mr. Holness described the incident as an amazing loss to Ghana.

    The crash claimed the lives of Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Minister of Defence, and Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, Minister of Setting, Science and Know-how, together with different authorities officers and crew members.

    On behalf of the Authorities and other people of Jamaica, the Prime Minister prolonged honest condolences to the Authorities and other people of Ghana.

    He stated the tragic occasion had introduced ache not solely to Ghana but in addition to pals around the globe.

    “Our ideas and prayers are with the households of the deceased and with your entire Authorities and the folks of the Republic of Ghana throughout this time of nationwide mourning,” Mr. Holness stated.
