Greater than 150 residents of Kasoa Kumbe, a suburb of Opeikuma within the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Area, have clashed with law enforcement officials and people believed to be landguards throughout a forced eviction.
Stories point out that the incident, which occurred within the early hours of Friday, twenty first February, escalated when residents confronted officers trying to forcibly take away them from their properties amid an ongoing land dispute.
The affected residents had been left stranded after officers from the Central East Regional Police Command reportedly evicted them, citing a courtroom ruling in favour of Kwame Baafi, who claims possession of over 10 acres of land.
Nevertheless, the residents insist they obtained no prior discover earlier than the eviction.
