The marketing campaign group of New Patriotic Get together (NPP) flagbearer hopeful, Ken Ohene Agyapong, has warned the camp of former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to name their supporters to order, following what it described as private assaults towards Mr. Agyapong.
In a press release issued on Thursday, the marketing campaign stated it will not permit what it referred to as reckless defamation to go unanswered.
It cautioned that if Dr. Bawumia’s camp continued to tolerate insults and private assaults, it may set off penalties they could remorse.
The marketing campaign alleged that in a latest video on Wontumi Tv, Kwaku Osei Korankye Asiedu, also called KOKA and described as a loyalist of Dr. Bawumia, launched “vicious and unprovoked” assaults on Mr. Agyapong.
In line with the marketing campaign, it was hypocritical for Dr. Bawumia’s supporters to venture him as a peaceable individual whereas his followers engaged in what it referred to as intimidation, bullying and abusive language.
It added that silence from Dr. Bawumia’s interior circle amounted to an endorsement of such behaviour.
The assertion careworn that the Agyapong marketing campaign had thus far targeted on concepts, imaginative and prescient and precept, with out resorting to non-public insults.
It stated the group remained dedicated to defending fact, defending integrity and preaching peace, unity and self-discipline inside the NPP.
It, nonetheless, cautioned that peace should not be mistaken for weak point and unity should not be confused with cowardice.
