    Kotoko fan’s death case withdrawn from Circuit Court – here’s all you need to know

    The prosecution has withdrawn prices in opposition to 4 people who have been introduced earlier than the Fiapre Circuit Courtroom in reference to the stabbing demise of Francis Yaw Frimpong, also referred to as Nana Pooley, in Nsoatre, studies myjoyonline.com.

    Nana Pooley was fatally stabbed on February 2, 2025, at Nana Konamansah Park close to Nsoatre, throughout a Ghana Premier League match between Nsoatreman FC and Asante Kotoko.

    The accused, Isaac Fosu, 28, Yeboah Augustine, 35, Elizabeth Akosua Ntiwa, 37, and Yaa Asantewaa, 37, have been initially charged with abetment of crime and homicide beneath Sections 20(1) and 46 of the Felony Offences Act of 1960 (Act 29).

    Two suspects on the run

    In response to studies, two different suspects, Briamah, also referred to as Rasta, and Yaw Koshy, stay at giant, with Briamah dealing with an extra homicide cost.

    On February 7, 2025, the accused have been denied bail, with the Fiapre Circuit Courtroom ruling that the case was out of its jurisdiction because it was a felony. Reviews on myjoyonline.com say the suspects have been ordered to stay in police custody and return to court docket on Monday, February 10, 2025, at 9 AM.

    Nonetheless, prosecutor Inspector Alexander Oppong requested to withdraw the costs, and the court docket, led by Her Honour Akua Addae Adoma, struck the case out. The prosecution crew on the Bono Regional Police Headquarters is now getting ready to return the case to the Sunyani District Courtroom.

    Thus far, the Ghana Police Service has arrested six people in reference to the case, with two, together with Nsoatreman FC proprietor and former Sunyani West MP Ignatius Baffour-Awuah, granted bail. They’re scheduled to look in court docket once more on February 17, 2025.
