    Lil Win slams Ghanaian media for ignoring his $1m film despite global nod

    Kumawood actor and producer Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly referred to as Lil Win, has voiced his disappointment over the shortage of media promotion for his new movie, Captain Ibrahim Traoré: The Final African Hero.

    The movie, which had its second premiere on 16 August 2025 on the Eusbett Resort Cinema in Sunyani, has, in keeping with Lil Win, been ignored by Ghanaian media retailers.

    In a heartfelt video message, the actor stood beside his GH¢1.2 million 2024 RAM 1500 truck, branded with stickers of the film, and lamented the absence of protection. He defined that regardless of premiering the movie in Sunyani, no native tv or entertainment-focused station had taken discover.

    Lil Win revealed that between 22 and 24 August 2025, he hung out monitoring all the most important leisure channels within the nation, hoping his mission can be mentioned. Sadly, he claimed, none of them talked about the movie.

    Earlier this month, Lil Win disclosed that he had invested practically $1 million into the mission, overlaying each manufacturing and promotion. The film was first premiered in Kumasi on 2 August 2025.
