Ghanaian Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly generally known as LilWin, has obtained a prestigious honour from Burkina Faso’s navy chief, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, following the premiere of a biographical movie centred on the statesman.
In a video shared on his official Instagram account on 5 August 2025, LilWin is seen receiving the award by the Burkinabè Ambassador to Ghana, who introduced it on behalf of Captain Traoré.

Expressing his appreciation, LilWin said that the popularity was a testomony to African unity and the ability of storytelling to rejoice African management.

The honour follows the two August 2025 premiere of LilWin’s newest movie titled Ibrahim Traoré. The film highlights the rise of the younger Burkinabè chief, who assumed energy after a coup d’état on 30 September 2022.

The movie positions Captain Traoré as an emblem of youth-led reform and anti-imperialist beliefs in Burkina Faso. It portrays his management journey and his efforts to reassert nationwide sovereignty, incomes him widespread admiration throughout elements of West Africa.
