    President John Dramani Mahama has positioned a ban on all “non-essential travels” of his appointees as a part of mea­sures to chop down on the price of working his authorities.

    The President has additionally imposed an em­bargo on top quality travels for his appoin­tees henceforth.

    Swearing into workplace 17 ministers on the Presidency in Accra on Friday, President Mahama mentioned his appointees should dwell with­within the technique of the financial conditions of the nation.

    Authorities, President Mahama mentioned would maintain the appointees to the strictest type of accountability and decorum, and that every one traces of affluence and lavish life­type have to be averted.

    The individuals of Ghana, he mentioned have been enduring troublesome occasions occasioned by hardships ensuing from the financial mismanagement of the final eight years and that the present regime should not exacerbate the scenario.

    A code of conduct for the appointees, President Mahama mentioned was within the offing to control how they carried themselves within the discharge of their duties.

    The 17 newly sworn in ministers are made up of seven sector ministers, two ministers of state and eight regional min­isters.

    They’re Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, Labour, Jobs and Employment; Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, Atmosphere, Science and Expertise; Sam Nartey George, Communications, Digital Expertise and Improvements; Kofi Iddie Adams, Sports activities and Recreation; Joseph Bukari Nikpe, Trans­port; Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, Well being; and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, International Affairs.

    Others are Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister of State, Authorities Communications; Seidu Issifu, Minister of State, Local weather Change and Sustainability; Mrs Charity Gardener, Regional Minister, Ahafo; Salisu Be-Awuribe, Savannah; and Joseph Nelson, Western.

    The remaining are Wilbert Petty Brentum, Western North; Joseph Addae Akwaboa, Bono; Francis Owusu Antwi, Bono East; Eduamoah Ekow Panyin Okyere, Central; and Puozuing Charles Lwanga, Higher West.
