    No official may attend UNGA 80 without Chief of Staff’s approval – Office of the President

    The Workplace of the President has issued a directive regulating Ghana’s participation within the eightieth United Nations Basic Meeting (UNGA) and all associated occasions in New York.

    This follows a Cupboard pronouncement by President John Mahama on attendance at worldwide engagements.

    In line with the directive signed by the Minister of Authorities Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu on Saturday, August 30, no minister, deputy minister, civil or public servant, CEO/MD of a state-owned enterprise, political appointee, or authorities employees might settle for invites to, or attend, UNGA 80 or any related facet conferences, panels, receptions, bilateral engagements, or third-party occasions with out prior written approval from the Chief of Employees, Julius Debrah.

    The restrictions cowl invites issued immediately by the UN, its companies, missions, and associate organisations, in addition to these from growth companions, assume tanks, NGOs, personal sector entities, or any third social gathering.
