    Background and Police Investigation

    The tragic taking pictures occurred at Nyinahin on Thursday, twenty fourth April, following a confrontation between army personnel and a few native youth.

    The altercation resulted in a single fatality and accidents to a few others.

    Based on a police assertion, preliminary experiences point out that the incident passed off when a gaggle of youths from Nyinahin have been on their technique to a cemetery alongside the Kumasi–Bibiani Freeway to bury a pal.

    Eyewitnesses reported that the army personnel approached the mourner and tried to forcibly take away the uniform.

    A confrontation ensued, throughout which a soldier allegedly shot the mourner in the head, resulting in his dying. The deceased was later recognized as Akwasi Lala, also called Kushivi.

    The state of affairs escalated, and in an try to stop retaliation, the troopers reportedly fired additional gunshots, injuring three further mourners.

    The Ashanti Regional command of the Ghana police service has since commenced investigations into the incident.
