    ORAL: Kpebu responds to Afenyo-Markin’s drone-spying allegation against team

    Martin Kpebu, a private legal practitioner and member of the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) committee, has dismissed claims that the crew used drones to spy on the properties of the Minority Chief.

    In response to him, the allegations are baseless and unsubstantiated, urging most of the people to ignore such remarks.

    His response follows a current interview by the Minority Leader and Effutu MP, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, during which he alleged that members of the committee had used drones to encroach on his beachfront and different properties in Winneba, which had reportedly been noticed a number of instances by his workers.

    Nonetheless, reacting to the claims in an interview with Citi Information, Lawyer Kpebu dismissed them as unfaithful and ridiculous. He acknowledged:

    It’s false. The ORAL committee has not despatched any drones to spy on the Minority Chief’s properties—it’s not true in any respect. Trying on the members of the crew, you’ll be able to hazard that the committee is not going to do one thing ridiculous like that, so let’s disregard it. We don’t personal any drones as a committee in any respect.

    He additional clarified that the committee had not secretly deployed further members to function on its behalf, stating:

    We don’t have any members apart from the committee members working for us. Since it’s a democracy, claims like which are made for strategic causes.

    The five-member ORAL team was appointed by President Mahama on 18th December 2024, forward of his official inauguration. The crew is tasked with gathering info on suspected corruption circumstances in preparation for the implementation of ORAL.

    The committee is chaired by Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, MP for North Tongu, and consists of former Auditor-Common Daniel Domelevo, retired Commissioner of Police Nathaniel Kofi Boakye, personal authorized practitioner Martin Kpebu, and investigative journalist Raymond Archer.
