PassionAir has issued an official assertion confirming an incident involving reasonable turbulence on Flight OP 149, which was en route from Kumasi to Accra on Saturday, June 14, 2025.

The airline acknowledged reviews of passenger discomfort throughout the flight and prolonged an apology to all these affected, attributing the disturbance to seasonal climate situations.

“The present wet season brings important and typically unpredictable climate variations,” the assertion learn.

“These embrace heavy rainfall, storms, sturdy high-altitude winds, crosswinds, and temperature fluctuations, all of which contribute to unstable atmospheric situations.”

In accordance with PassionAir, such turbulence could also be encountered on routes serving Kumasi, Takoradi, Tamale, Sunyani, and Wa, particularly throughout this time of 12 months.

Nonetheless, the airline reassured the general public that it’s actively monitoring climate situations in collaboration with meteorological and aviation authorities.

“Whereas we anticipate largely slight to reasonable climate disruptions, uncommon situations of extreme situations might happen as a result of these pure climate adjustments,” the discharge said.

PassionAir emphasised that the security and luxury of its passengers and crew stay paramount and that every one operations proceed to satisfy strict regulatory security requirements.
