    Photos: Former South African President Jacob Zuma delivers UPSA annual lectures

    The College of Skilled Research, Accra (UPSA), on Tuesday held its 2025 annual management lecture sequence on the college’s auditorium in Accra.

    The occasion, which introduced collectively excessive personalities from academia, authorities, and the clergy, together with former President John Agyekum Kufuor, featured former South African President Jacob Zuma because the keynote speaker.

    Underneath the theme “The geopolitics and geo-economics of de-dollarisation: BRICS forex technique, classes for Africa’s frequent forex and past”, the lecture created a discussion board for company to ask questions.

    This, he stated, would prioritise African items and companies, foster self-reliance, and defend the continent from exterior financial shocks.

    The lecture highlights the rising dialog round Africa’s financial future and its quest for monetary sovereignty.

    By advocating for a unified forex and African-owned buying and selling platforms, Mr Zuma’s proposals purpose to cut back the continent’s reliance on exterior financial methods and promote financial integration.

    The African Continental Free Commerce Space (AfCFTA), launched in 2021, is seen as a essential step towards attaining this objective.
