The Western Central Regional Police Command has arrested three suspects for a theft assault at Jukwa close to Afransie within the Western Area.
The suspects have been arrested on July 15, 2025 after a Toyota Hilux pickup with registration quantity GT 7426-23, transporting gold focus from a mining website to Wassa Akropong, was attacked close to Jukwa city.
The occupants of the car on the time of the theft included the driving force, Kofi Gyamfi, a safety guard, Bashiru and one different individual.
The robbers attacked the car and made away with the gold focus.
Following a swift Police intervention, suspect Foster Peprah, a small-scale miner, was arrested on the scene.
Preliminary investigations revealed that he carried out the theft with one Isaac, who’s at the moment on the run. Throughout interrogation, Foster talked about Kofi Gyamfi, the driving force, as the person who invited them to hold out the theft.
Kofi Gyamfi was later arrested, and he named Bashiru, the safety guard, because the originator of the plan. Bashiru was subsequently arrested at his hideout in Wassa Gyedua.
All three suspects are at the moment in Police custody helping investigations, whereas efforts are underway to arrest suspect Isaac who’s at the moment on the run.
