President John Dramani Mahama has dismissed the Chief of Defence Employees, Normal Thomas Oppong-Peprah, together with different senior officers of the Ghana Armed Forces.
Normal Oppong-Peprah was appointed to the role in January 2024 following the retirement of Vice Admiral Seth Amoama.
Nevertheless, after simply 15 months in workplace, he’s set to get replaced by Brigadier Normal William Agyapong, who has been appointed by the President as the brand new Chief of Defence Employees.

The choice, together with a serious reshuffle within the Ghana Armed Forces, was introduced in a press release dated 17 March and signed by the Minister for Authorities Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu.
The assertion famous that the outgoing service chiefs had met with the President, who expressed his gratitude for his or her service:
The President this afternoon met with the outgoing Service Chiefs, led by the Chief of the Defence Employees, Normal Thomas Oppong-Peprah, on the Flagstaff Home.
Mr Mahama thanked them for his or her devoted service to the nation and guaranteed them of his willingness to depend on their in depth expertise and experience to reset Ghana.
