President John Dramani Mahama has granted amnesty to 998 prisoners serving varied jail phrases throughout prisons within the nation.
The gesture is upon the advice of the Prisons Service Council and in session with the Council of State and in accordance with Article 72(1) of the Structure.
An announcement issued by the Minister for Authorities Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, in Accra yesterday mentioned the quantity is out of a complete of 1,014 really useful.
