    President John Dramani Mahama has dismissed Professor Samuel Kobina Annim from his position as Government Statistician.

    The choice was confirmed in a press release dated 4th April 2025, signed by the Minister answerable for Authorities Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu.

    Professor Annim was appointed to the position in March 2019 below the administration of former President Nana Akufo-Addo.

    Profile of Dr Alhassan Iddrisu

    Dr Alhassan Iddrisu is a seasoned economist and achieved public sector chief with a distinguished profession in Ghana’s Ministry of Finance.

    He at present serves as Director of the Financial Technique and Analysis Division, the place he leads nationwide efforts in macroeconomic evaluation, forecasting, coverage analysis, and coordination of actual and exterior sector assessments.

    He supplies technical steerage for the preparation of the Ghana Macroeconomic Outlook Report and contributes to the Nationwide Finances and Financial Coverage.

    Dr Iddrisu additionally represents the Ministry on a number of governing boards, public councils, and inter-ministerial technical committees, the place his experience influences key coverage selections on financial governance and improvement technique.
