    Prez Mahama calls for stronger university–industry partnerships to prepare graduates for jobs

    President John Dramani Mahama has confused the necessity for Ghana to deepen collaboration between universities and industries to make graduates extra prepared for the job market.

    He made this declaration after his go to to the Singapore Institute of Expertise and Biopolis in the course of the Africa Singapore Enterprise Discussion board.

    The President urged universities to work intently with industries and focus extra on utilized studying and analysis that clear up real-life issues.

    He defined that this is able to assist put together college students for the way forward for work.

    In accordance with him, utilized studying, internships, and programmes linked to nationwide priorities needs to be inspired in order that graduates can achieve sensible expertise and be higher positioned to satisfy the wants of employers.

    President Mahama highlighted the significance of public–personal partnerships, notably in life sciences and biotechnology.

    He stated such partnerships might create jobs, drive innovation, and enhance lives if analysis centered on options that benefitted society.

    He famous that the method of aligning schooling with business wants was began by then Minister for Schooling, now Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, and emphasised that this effort have to be continued.

    The President expressed gratitude to his hosts in Singapore and stated Ghana seemed ahead to constructing partnerships that may assist advance greater schooling, innovation, and healthcare.
