    Re-constituted Financial Stability Council holds maiden meeting

    The re-constituted Monetary Stability Council which is made up of regulators of the monetary sector have held its maiden assembly with the deal with stabilizing the economic system and the monetary sector.

    The council, which is chaired by the Governor of the Governor of the Financial institution of Ghana Dr. Johnson Asiama checked out initiatives geared toward addressing legacy points inside the monetary sector.

    In response to an announcement issued by council, different members included the Director Common of the Securities and Alternate Fee, Dr. James Avedzi.

    The Commissioner of the Nationwide Insurance coverage Fee, Dr. Abiba Zakariah.

    The Council reaffirmed its dedication to safeguarding Ghana’s monetary system by means of enhanced collaboration amongst member establishments. It additionally emphasised the significance of proactive oversight and coordinated motion to make sure a secure, inclusive, and strong monetary sector.

    The Council Chair emphasised the significance of fostering a sound, secure and revolutionary monetary sector that helps the true sector of the economic system in selling sustainable financial development.

    The reconstituted Council contains the next members: 

    Dr. Johnson Pandit Asiama – Governor of the Financial institution of Ghana

    Mrs. Matilda Asante-Asiedu – Deputy Governor of the Financial institution of Ghana

    Hon. Thomas Nyarko Ampem – Deputy Minister of Finance

    Dr. Abiba Zakariah –Performing Commissioner, Nationwide Insurance coverage Fee 

    Dr. James Klutse Avedzi –Performing Director-Common, Securities and Alternate Fee. 

    Mr. Christopher Boadi-Mensah – Chief Government Officer, Nationwide Pensions Regulatory Authority; and  

    Mr. Galahad Alex Andoh – Performing Chief Government Officer, Ghana Deposit Safety Company.
