The Nationwide Highway Security Authority (NRSA) has introduced plans of continuous its enforcement train to take away all unauthorized out of doors promoting indicators and billboards positioned in highway medians.
The choice to embark on this train, in keeping with the authority, is to avert dangers posed by the indicators, which trigger visible and cognitive distractions to drivers and hinder the view of each motorists and pedestrians.
The authority in a press release disclosed that the train would cowl the N1 Freeway (from the Achimota Overhead to the Dzorwulu Fiesta Royale Visitors Mild), the Dr. Kwame Nkrumah Circle Stretch (from Circle to Odorkor by to the Weija intersection), Spintex Highway (from the Motion Chapel intersection to the Palace Mall), and the Kawokudi to Achimota stretch.
The NRSA stated it should start this part of the elimination train in August, in collaboration with municipal assemblies within the Better Accra Area.
The authority warned promoting firms, their purchasers, and signal house owners to voluntarily take away their indicators with instant impact.
The NRSA burdened that failure to take action will result in forceful elimination, and the complete price of the operation can be charged to house owners of the non-compliant indicators.
The Authority added that this train is a part of efforts to make sure safer roads for all highway customers and referred to as for the cooperation of all stakeholders.
