    Samuel Abu Jinapor, Lands and Pure Sources Minister

    Rating Member of Parliament’s International Affairs Committee, Samuel Abu Jinapor, has lambasted the International Minister’s determination to close down Ghana’s Embassy in Washington DC over a fraud scandal, describing the transfer as “kneejerk” and “populist.”

    In a press launch dated Might 29, 2025, the Damongo MP mentioned the closure, which lasted solely three days, lacked correct diplomatic process and has broken Ghana’s popularity internationally.

    “This abrupt determination has made Ghana the butt of jokes in diplomatic circles,” he mentioned.
