    Shake-up in Armed Forces – Ghanaian Times

    • President John Mahama

     President John Mahama has an­nounced a change within the command of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF).

    An announcement signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister of Authorities Communications, stated the appointments takes impact from March 24, 2025.

    The appointees, all in appearing capacities are Brigadier Normal William Agyapong, Chief of the Defence Employees.

    The remaining are Brigadier Gen­eral Lawrence Kwaku Gbetanu, Chief of Military Employees; Commo­dore Godwin Livinus Bessing, Chief of Naval Employees; Air Com­modore Eric Agyen-Frempong, Chief of Air Employees and Brig­adier Normal Glover Ashong Annan, Chief of Employees.

    The appointments are pending consultations with the Council of State as required by legislation.

    The assertion additional revealed that the President met with the outgoing Service Chiefs, led by the Chief of the Defence Employees, Normal Thomas Oppong-Peprah.

    “Mr Mahama thanked them for his or her devoted service to the nation and warranted them of his willingness to depend on their different experiences and depth of information to reset Ghana,” he acknowledged.
