    State to recall 5th prosecution witness in Gyakye Quayson’s trial

     The Accra Excessive Courtroom has granted a movement for the prosecution within the trial of James Gyakye Quayson, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin North, to recall the fifth witness.

    Ms Esi Dentaa Yankah, the Principal State Legal professional, stated the premise for the movement was that Latif Oshenu, the fifth prosecu­tion witness within the ongoing trial, throughout his cross examination, notified the courtroom of a web page that was omitted in an exhibit, which he had tendered into proof.

    The MP, who has pleaded not responsible and granted bail, is dealing with fees together with deceit of public officer, forgery of passport or journey certificates, knowingly making a false statutory dec­laration, and perjury and false declaration for workplace.

    Ms Yankah stated the witness sought to confer with that omitted web page, however was unable to take action.

    The prosecution additionally acknowledged that there was the necessity for the witness to be recalled for the whole doc to be positioned earlier than the courtroom.
