    Trader remanded for robbing woma

     The Circuit Courtroom in Accra has remanded a dealer, Prosper Otoo, for allegedly robbing a lady of her hand­bag containing cash, a cell phone, and different private gadgets.

    Otoo, who denied conspir­ing with an confederate, now at giant, was charged in reference to the theft of Ms Naomi Kwarteng.

    The court docket, presided by Mrs Susan Eduful, adjourned the case to February 12.

    Prosecuting, Chief Inspec­tor Ebenezer Teye-Okufo, mentioned the complainant, Ms Naomi Kwarteng, a dealer staying at Amasaman within the Better Accra Area, was attacked on her technique to work.

    The court docket heard that Otoo, a pillion rider on a bike, allegedly drew a cutlass and threatened to slash complainant if she refuses at hand over her purse.

    Chief Insp Teye-Okufo mentioned the sufferer, fearing for her life, surrendered her purse, valued at GH¢1,500, which contained a Samsung cell phone value GH¢1,000, GH¢150 in money, her financial institution card, and 4 cross­port-sized pictures.

    Chief Insp Teye-Okufo mentioned Ms Kwarteng reported the inci­dent to the police at Amasaman.

    The prosecution advised the court docket that different victims had reported related incidents that occurred within the space to the police.
