    UK-Ghana Trade Partnership Agreement workshops empower businesses for enhanced trade

    The UK-Ghana Chamber of Commerce (UKGCC) has efficiently hosted two workshops geared toward empowering companies to capitalise on the UK-Ghana Commerce Partnership Settlement (TPA).

    The TPA, signed in March 2021, supplies duty-free entry for nearly all Ghanaian items exports to the UK, with roughly 80% of UK items exports to Ghana additionally benefiting from duty-free entry by 2029.

    The workshops, held in Ghana and the UK (UK) on behalf of the UK’s Division for Enterprise and Commerce (DBT), introduced collectively officers from each governments, in addition to business consultants, to supply companies with sensible steerage on navigating the TPA. Key discussions centered on customs and compliance necessities, UK commerce insurance policies, customs facilitation, and export requirements.

    Because the UK and Ghana proceed to strengthen their commerce ties, these workshops mark a big step in direction of boosting commerce beneath the TPA.

    With the settlement set to boost financial cooperation and supply a platform for larger commerce and funding, companies on either side are poised to reap the advantages of this profitable partnership.
