    Upper West minister promises open-door administration towards

     The Higher West Regional Minister, Mr Charles Lwanga Puozuing, has promised to function an open-door adminis­tration, to permit all well-meaning individuals to contribute to the area’s improvement.

    He urged the individuals to make concerted efforts to propel speedy improvement within the area.

    “We have to assist and help one another to make sure the Higher West Area turns into engaging to all of us,” Mr Lwanga stated, when some individuals visited him on the resi­dency in Wa on the weekend.

    Workers of the Higher West Regional Coordinating Council (RCC), Regional and Constituency Exec­utives of the Nationwide Democratic Congress (NDC), social gathering faithfuls and sympathisers welcomed the Minister to the area.

    The minister indicated that although the area had a 10-year plan to information improvement, he would guarantee reassessment of the scheme to make sure it meet the cur­hire priorities of the area.

    Regarding sources for the area’s improvement, Mr Lwanga stated: “sources will come when you will have good proposals and plans.”

    He stated that he would give attention to well being, training infrastructure, water sources, agriculture and ladies and ladies’ empowerment.

    “I consider that if we give attention to this stuff by the point the 4 years will come, Higher West would have moved from its present state of improvement to a special state”, Mr Lwanga said.

    He promised that with the Affir­mative Motion and Gender Equal­ity legislation in drive, he would guarantee feminine illustration in all spheres of his administration.

    The minister, nevertheless, acknowl­edged that it could be troublesome to have feminine illustration in some points of decision-making on account of cultural practices within the area.

    Mr Lwanga emphasised the necessity for constant engagement and edu­cation of the general public to alter that narrative and pave manner for lively feminine participation in all points of governance. —GNA
