    ‘We won’t embark on witch-hunts like the NPP’ – Asiedu Nketiah to ORAL critics

    Nationwide Chairman of the ruling Nationwide Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has responded to critics of the government’s anti-corruption initiative, Operation Get well All Loot (ORAL), defending what many understand because the gradual tempo of progress.

    In keeping with Mr Asiedu Nketiah, ORAL just isn’t designed to focus on political opponents, however quite to serve the nationwide curiosity by recovering funds lost through corruption. He emphasised that the NDC is dedicated to justice—not vengeance.

    Talking in an interview on Accra FM, Mr Nketiah insists the purpose is to not mimic what he describes because the NPP’s vindictive model of governance.

    He stated:

    The ORAL Committee was meant to create a preparatory platform for whistleblowers to share credible data earlier than we arrange the complete institutional framework for restoration. Below the earlier administration, a number of state establishments have been compromised. Cleansing up and rebuilding these constructions will take time.

    He added:

    Inside Operation Get well All Loot (ORAL)

    Forward of the 2024 common election, the NDC launched Operation Get well All Loot (ORAL) as a cornerstone of its anti-corruption marketing campaign.     On tenth February 2025, the five-member ORAL Committee officially submitted its interim report to President John Mahama, following a 53-day investigation. The committee was chaired by Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

    Through the handover ceremony, Mr Ablakwa disclosed that the committee had obtained a complete of two,417 reviews—1,493 by cellphone calls and 924 by way of e-mail—highlighting the size of alleged corruption uncovered.
