The Chairman of the Nationwide Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has questioned why Ghana is giving extra recognition to overseas religions whereas neglecting conventional faith.
Chatting with the media, Mr. Nketiah stated it appeared imported religions had taken over the nation, as if Ghana had no custom or cultural roots.
He defined that though he’s a Christian and a Presbyterian, the legal guidelines of Ghana don’t make the nation solely Christian or Muslim.
In keeping with him, the structure clearly states that Ghana is a secular state the place everyone seems to be free to practise their faith and tradition.
Mr. Nketiah expressed concern that the state was now shifting in direction of honouring overseas religions to the exclusion of conventional ones.
