    Ghana’s 68th Independence Day theme unveiled: ‘Reflect, Review, and Reset’

    The federal government has formally introduced the theme for Ghana’s 68th Independence Day celebrations as “Mirror, Assessment, and Reset”, with this year’s event set to take place at Jubilee House instead of a stadium.

    The transfer follows President John Dramani Mahama’s directive to chop authorities spending because the nation faces financial challenges.

    Talking at a press briefing on Saturday, 22 February, Minister of Authorities Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, defined the rationale behind the theme, stating that it displays the nationwide temper following the latest elections.

    The theme suits into the overall tone within the nation for the time being, contemplating how the elections have gone and the broad consensus that Ghana wants a reset.

    This year’s Independence Day can be extra modest than earlier years, shifting away from large-scale stadium occasions. Kwakye Ofosu famous that the choice to host the occasion at Jubilee Home was not solely to scale back prices but in addition to make sure a shorter and extra environment friendly ceremony.
