    52% of voters support removal of Chief Justice – Global InfoAnalytics poll

    Background

    On twenty sixth March, a press release signed by the Minister for Authorities Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, confirmed that President Mahama had obtained three separate petitions calling for the elimination of the Chief Justice.

    According to Article 146 of the 1992 Structure, the President referred the petitions to the Council of State to begin the required session course of.

    Subsequently, the Chief Justice was granted a 10-day period to respond to the petitions, following her request. She submitted her written response to the President on 7th April.
