    Elect competent leader to transform GJA – NDC Vice Chairman, USA urges journalists

    The Vice Chairman of the Nationwide Democratic Con­gress (NDC) USA Chapter, Mr Moses Klu Mensah, has referred to as on members of the Ghana Journalists Affiliation (GJA) to elect a reliable chief able to reworking the Affiliation.

    Talking forward of the GJA nationwide elections slated for Mon­day, June 30, 2025, Mr Mensah emphasised the necessity for visionary management that would enhance the fortunes of the Affiliation.

    He additionally recommended journalists nationwide for his or her important position in safeguarding democracy and professional­moting nationwide improvement.

    In a Fb submit, Mr Mensah lauded journalists for his or her cour­age, resilience, and dedication to fact, urging them to stay un­wavering of their dedication to public accountability and nationwide improvement.

    “As members of the Ghana Journalists Affiliation (GJA) pre­pare to move to the polls on Mon­day, I want to take this second to salute all devoted journalists throughout Ghana,” the submit learn.

    The 2025 GJA elections will see twelve of the 13 ap­proved candidates vying for vari­ous nationwide government positions.

    These embody the workplaces of President, Vice President, Gener­al Secretary, Organising Secretary, Treasurer, and Public Affairs Of­ficer. The Electoral Committee has confirmed that each one candidates have accomplished the balloting course of to find out their posi­tions on the poll paper.

    The presidential race is count on­ed to be intently contested between Mr Albert Kwabena Dwumfour, the incumbent President searching for a second time period, and Mr Charles Yao Mawusi, a media advisor and reform advocate.

    Each candidates are presenting distinct visions for the Affiliation, with Mr Dwumfour campaigning on continuity and achievements throughout his tenure, whereas Mr Mawu­si focuses on transparency, unity, and stronger institutional reforms.

    The Ghana Journalists Asso­ciation, based in 1949, is the umbrella physique for journalists within the nation.
