3 Arrested for Possessing Firearms, Restricted Medication Close to Savelugu
Three males — Jabuni S. Mohammed, 29, a businessman; Alidu Abdul Samed, 20, a tailor; and Abdul Aziz, 29, a kente weaver, each residents of Tamale — have been arrested by the Savelugu District Police Command for illegal possession of restricted medicine and a firearm.
The arrests occurred alongside the Tamale-Bolgatanga highway close to Diare within the early hours of Sunday, August 3, 2025, following a high-speed chase and a coordinated manhunt.
