    President Mahama urges acceleration of e-visa services to boost travel and tourism

    President John Dramani Mahama has referred to as on key authorities ministries to fast-track the rollout of digital visa (e-visa) providers as a part of efforts to modernize Ghana’s journey infrastructure and improve its world competitiveness in tourism and enterprise.

    Talking on the official commissioning of the Advance Passenger Data and Passenger Title Document (API/PNR) Operations Centre, President Mahama described the e-visa system as a “essential instrument” in simplifying journey procedures for overseas nationals, thereby making Ghana a extra engaging vacation spot for buyers and vacationers alike.

    “The e-visa initiative isn’t just about comfort,” the President stated. “It’s about positioning Ghana as a gateway to West Africa, encouraging innovation in border safety, and supporting the expansion of tourism and enterprise sectors.”

    The API/PNR Centre, a high-tech facility that may streamline passenger knowledge assortment for enhanced safety and operational effectivity, marks a big step towards digital transformation in Ghana’s aviation and immigration techniques.

    President Mahama tasked the Ministries of Overseas Affairs, Inside, and Transport to collaborate intently to speed up the implementation of the e-visa framework.
