President John Dramani Mahama has introduced that allowances for nursing and instructor trainees throughout Ghana will now be disbursed by the Controller and Accountant-Basic’s Division (CAGD).
The transfer, geared toward addressing the long-standing delays in funds, was revealed throughout the President’s Thank You Tour in Tamale on Saturday, March 22. Participating with college students, professionals, and group leaders, Mahama outlined key coverage measures designed to enhance livelihoods and guarantee monetary stability for trainees.

For years, nursing and teacher trainees have struggled with erratic allowance payments, usually ready months to obtain their stipends. Many have voiced frustrations over the delays, which make it tough to cowl important prices like transportation, feeding, and research supplies.
