    Ghana validates first National E-commerce Strategy

    The Ministry of Commerce, Agribusiness and Trade (MoTAI), in collaboration with the United NationsTrade and Growth (UNCTAD), has hosted a nationwide validation workshop on Thursday, twelfth June, 2025, to finalize Ghana’s first Nationwide E-Commerce Technique. The workshop marks a serious milestone within the nation’s efforts to harness digital commerce for inclusive financial progress and transformation.

    The workshop introduced collectively senior authorities officers, representatives from the non-public sector, academia, civil society, and growth companions to evaluate and endorse the draft technique. The doc outlines strategic targets and actions designed to beat structural and trade-related obstacles, empower micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), foster respectable job creation, improve social inclusion, and help financial diversification by way of e-commerce.

    The initiative follows the eTrade Readiness Evaluation (eT Prepared) carried out by UNCTAD in response to a 2023 request by MoTAI.
