    GTA denies claims of changing greetings at Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park

    The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has dismissed claims on social media that it changed conventional greetings on the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park signage.

    In a press release signed by Chief Government Officer Maame Efua Houadjeto, the Authority mentioned it has not ordered or accepted the alternative of the inscriptions “Woezor” in Ewe and “Akwaaba” in Akan with the phrase “Oobakɛ.”

    The GTA defined that the greetings stay an necessary a part of Ghana’s cultural identification and haven’t been altered.

    The Authority additional famous that any change to the signage on the Park can’t be achieved with out approval from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Tradition and the related company in cost.

    “The GTA needs to place within the public area that we have no idea something about it and we didn’t order or approve the change of the inscriptions on the signage,” the assertion learn.

    The Authority urged the general public to ignore the false info and proceed to assist the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, describing it as a logo of nationwide satisfaction and unity.
