The Ghana Police Service has introduced safety preparations, together with non permanent highway closures and diversions, for the 68th Independence Day celebration on the Jubilee Home in Accra.
In a press launch dated sixth March, Assistant Commissioner of Police and Director of Public Affairs, Grace Ansah-Akrofi, outlined that the next roads will probably be briefly closed to vehicular traffic and reopened after the occasion.
Highway Closures

Liberation Highway at Opeibea Intersection

Jawaharlal Nehru Highway at Switchback Highway

Highway Diversions
The assertion suggested motorists to pay attention to the next diversions:

Motorists on Liberation Highway from the Airport in direction of Accra will probably be diverted at Opeibea Site visitors Intersection onto Alliance Française Highway to affix Obasanjo Freeway or onto Airport Bypass to hyperlink with Giffard Highway.

Motorists on Independence Avenue from the Accra route will probably be diverted at Ako-Adjei Interchange onto Ring Highway Central in direction of Osu or Kawukudi.
