    UBA invests in future leaders, inducts over 3200 young professionals under GMAP initiative

    Africa’s International Financial institution, United Financial institution for Africa (UBA) Plc, continues to make vital influence in birthing the following technology of banking and finance professionals on the continent by its Graduate Administration Acceleration Programme (GMAP) which so far has produced over 3,222 younger professionals throughout Africa.

    Since inception three years in the past, the GMAP, designed to equip entrants with the mandatory abilities and data, has offered mentorship, coaching, and hands-on expertise to younger graduates for management roles in UBA.

    On Wednesday, a ceremony was held on the Landmark Occasion Centre to induct one other cohort of 1,138 profitable graduates who have been absorbed by the financial institution following intensive coaching spanning a number of months of rigorous studying, testing the entrants’ dedication and resilience.

    The momentous ceremony was graced by the UBA Group Chairman, Tony Elumelu, the Group Managing Director/ CEO, Oliver Alawuba, and different Board Members, Govt Administration, school members, mentors, households, and mates of the graduates.

    Elumelu, who expressed his pleasure over the brand new graduates, highlighted the financial institution’s ardour for youth empowerment in Africa whereas bridging the unemployment hole, which in keeping with him, stays one of many biggest challenges in the continent,

    He mentioned, “At UBA, we consider that Africa’s transformation is within the fingers of younger, dynamic, and bold professionals resembling you. By way of GMAP, we’re not solely shaping future leaders but in addition reinforcing our dedication to excellence and influence.

    Talking earlier on the occasion, UBA’s Group Managing Director/CEO, Oliver Alawuba, expressed immense pleasure within the graduands and reiterated the financial institution’s unwavering dedication to human capital growth.

    “This second marks the start of a transformational journey that may form your careers, your contributions to society, and Africa at massive.

    “The GMAP is a testomony to our imaginative and prescient of empowering the brightest minds with the abilities, data, and mind-set required to navigate the ever-evolving monetary panorama,” Alawuba said.

    He identified UBA’s dedication to gender range and inclusion, highlighting that of the recent 1,138 graduands, 666 (representing 58%) are ladies, a mirrored image of the financial institution’s dedication to fostering an equitable and inclusive office.

    Encouraging the graduands, Alawuba charged them to uphold UBA’s core values of Excellence, Enterprise, and Execution, whereas embracing the financial institution’s Persona of Simplicity, Responsiveness, and Purpose-oriented (SRG).

    The ceremony featured inspiring testimonies from GMAP alumni who’ve made vital strides throughout the financial institution.
